Utilizing sewing machines acquired by From Hand to Heart, residents created a co-op program to train local women in all aspects of commercial sewing, design and production. The resulting revenue has provided a critical source of financial support for local families. Opportunities to implement this type of collective economic endeavor to create additional local jobs will continue to be pursued by From Hand to Heart.
