Operation: Hand Up Mission - January 19 - February 3, 2019

Project: Educate

  • Leaders, Mayor and Municipality town council finalize students chosen to receive education. 
  • Final purchases for the entire school year of all supplies, notebooks, textbooks, reference books, a Bible, backpack, 2 school uniforms and shoes, gym uniform and shoes.
  • Parent/student meeting is held with students reminded that expectations must be met and support for the next school year is not a guarantee for those who do not intend to achieve. School starts February 1.

Project: Poultry

  • Building 10 family henhouses.
  • Community henhouses to be discussed.

Project: Nourish

  • Continuing support of 3 meals per week for the year for 1,000 children.

Project: Plant

  • Planting 10 family vegetable gardens.

Operation: Hand Up Mission June 20 - June 30, 2018

Project: Poultry

  • Building 10 - 8ft X 12ft henhouses for poor families, with 10 hens, 1 rooster, 10 baby chicks, 500 lbs grain feed and a family Bible.

Project: Nourish

  • Supplying support to match funds contributed by local Honduran churches to feed 250 children at risk of malnutrition per week.
  • Partnering with Lifeline Christian Mission and Southeast Christian Church to supply dehydrated, complete meals, providing a steady source of regular meals and to meet emergency nutrition needs.

Project: Agua Pura

  • Assembling 100 individual family water purification systems and distributing them to those at risk of water-borne illness and disease.

Project: Plant

  • Planting 10 family vegetable gardens.

Project: Educate

Partnering with KidStory, a division of Kids Around the World, to conduct Childrens' Worker Training workshops for the local church childrens' volunteers in San Antonio de Cortes, specializing in teaching unique Biblical tools designed specifically for evangelizing children in "Developing Nations" (Third World). Director Lanny York will be present for logistics, to learn to "train the trainers" and begin preparation for the June/July, 2018 distribution of 60,000 dehydrated meals (see Project: Nourish event above).

Southeast Christian Church

In partnership with Lifeline Christian Mission we will be packing 60,000 dehydrated meals for shipment to Honduras, Central America, for those living in generational poverty. Please join us for a great time of serving poor children and the joy of being together for a common goal. There will be meals for volunteers* (fresh not dehydrated!) Optional Donation: At the event you can sponsor the cost of the meals. Your donation is tax deductible. Cost to send 100 meals to hungry people is $23 (only 23 cents each!)  *There is suggested donation of $10/person for food and drink for you, but this is not required to come and serve!
